This recipe is my favorite macaroni and cheese. It is very good! It has a creamy sauce, perfectly complemented by the crunchy crunch of croutons and blue cheese crumbs topped with strips.
You can choose your favorite pasta for this recipe, but I prefer using cavatabe. It’s the best choice for this recipe because the sauce really covers all the spiral pasta and even goes inside the noodles – I can’t stress enough how good this recipe is, I’ve been preparing it for years!
1 lb. cavatappi pasta (or pasta of your choice)
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. flour
4 c. milk
6 c. freshly shredded sharp or white Cheddar
