– Romaine Lettuce
This veggie is commonly used in various salads. It can be re-grown by using an existing lettuce head’s bottom.
Specifically, place the stumps of this veggie in a half inch of water. When you notice the new leaves and roots, it should be replanted into a pot containing soil or in your backyard.
Extra tip: You can also re-grow cabbage in the same manner.
You can easily re-grow this vegetable by using carrot tops. First of all, you should place the carrot tops in a container containing a bit of water. In addition, the container should be placed on a window sill or h in a well-lit room.
You can re-grow celery from any leftover bottoms of the vegetable. Start by cutting the base off and then place it in a shallow dish on the direct sunlight. After a while, the new leaves will grow in the middle of the base. After 3 days, it should be planted in soil.

It is an early spring veggie that can keep re-growing for about 25 years. You can plant this vegetable by using 2-year old crowns or seeds. It is good to know that the seeds can be matured for several years, whereas the crowns can be matured more quickly. You can buy crowns from a store. Furthermore, it is up to you to decide if you want to plant crowns or seeds. They both can be planted in well-drained soil.
– Globe Artichoke
This vegetable belongs to the thistle family. Additionally, its edible flower bud is known as artichoke. These buds should not be harvested until fuzzy purple flowers start appearing. The plant requires a moist and well-drained soil to grow. Also, it requires a sunny environment. It is advisable to plant about 24-36 inches apart in rows that are nearly 36 inches apart. You should also amend the soil by using 2 inches of compost before planting artichoke. Use a high-nitrogen fertilizer to fertilize it monthly.
The flower buds can be harvested in spring and fall when the stalk is completely extended but the bud closed.
By using the scallions roots you can re-grow the plant. Make sure you leave an inch of the scallions attached to the root before placing them in a glass containing water. The glass should be placed in a well-lit room at moderate temperature. You can pick the scallions when they’re 4-6 inches long.
You can re-grow sprouts of this vegetable by using garlic cloves. What’s more, they have milder flavor than garlic, so they can be added to salads, pasta, and many other dishes.
