Shrink Wrap Hack

Place plastic wrap around a container of leftovers and use your blow dryer to heat the ends of your plastic wrap to seal it tight and keep your food extra fresh. This works well to prevent freezer burn.

Air Pump

Cut the end off of a plastic drink bottle and put the mouthpiece into the hole for something you need to blow up. Place your hair dryer at the open end of the bottle and turn it on to blow up your air mattress or pool float.

Gloss a Cake

If you want your frosted confectionary creation to look ultra fancy, you can heat up your frosted cake with a hair dryer. It will give the frosting a shiny and glossy look as if your sweet treat is glazed.

Pain-Free Bandage Removal

Blow some heat over your bandage for a few seconds and slowly remove it. The heat will melt the glue and allow you to pull it off with the pain.

Stretch Out Your Shoes

First, put on some thick socks and put your shoes on. Then, blow hot air on your shoes, especially in the places where your shoes feel tight. You can wiggle your toes around as you heat the shoe to help them expand. Keep your shoes on until they cool down. This will make your shoes more comfortable and prevent you from getting blisters.

Remove Crayon

If your children decided to turn your wall into an art piece with some crayon, a dryer can help you erase it. Just heat up the area with some crayon to melt the wax and wipe it away.

You can use the same method to remove dripped wax. You may have to apply heat a little bit longer if it’s a bigger chunk of wax.
