When you find yourself having a free day, what do you usually do? Some of my friends spend their entire day baking in their kitchens (I always have a box of sweets from any of them). Some of them just lie around and totally allow themselves to relax. I am more of the latter. I give more than a hundred percent of my time and effort during the weekdays that I always consider my weekends basically my free days. Free days meaning I can spend my time the way I want to; and usually, that means spending time with my family without worrying about anything.
During these days, I love to cook something tasty and easy for the family. Usually, that happens to be a casserole.
I just put everything I can find together in one dish and we’ll have a good meal by the end of the day.
This easy chicken tamale recipe is a recent favorite. My husband fell in love with this recipe the moment he tasted this. I had to omit a few of the ingredients to replace them with something that my children could eat.
This is actually a pretty versatile recipe. You can adapt this recipe and adjust the ingredients based on your family’s preferences.
This cheesy chicken tamale casserole from Food Snob 2.0 is good to serve if you have a large number of guests. It’s easy to prepare and put together, and you can have more time in preparing your home for them. This is also a family recipe, and you can just adjust the ingredients if you have picky eaters at home. A simple dish that makes my family happy is always a good dish for me. This is one of those! I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my family does!
