Deep Fried Oreos

This is a carnival favorite where I grew up. Oreos get dipped into pancake batter and fried – yummy!! You can do this with or without a deep fryer.

Deep Fried Oreos

  • 1 Gallon Vegetable oil
  • 1 Package Bisquick Pancake Mix
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Package Oreos

  1. Pour the Oil in the fryer.
  2. Heat the Oil until it gets to 350 degrees F.
  3. Remove 2 Oreos from the package, break up these two cookies and set aside.
  4. Place the rest of Oreos in the freezer while you make the pancake mix.
  5. Follow the Directions on the side of the Bisquick box to make classic pancakes.
  6. Mix 2 cups of Original Bisquick Mix, 1 Cup Milk, and 2 Eggs.
  7. Add the 2 broken up cookies to the mix and whisk.
  8. Place in the fridge for 15 minutes.
  9. Whisk the batter together again.
  10. Take the Oreos out of the freezer.
  11. Dredge the Oreos in the pancake batter.
  12. Use a slotted spoon to add them into the fryer.
  13. Fry the Oreos for 2 minutes on each side. You can flip them by pushing on one side of the Oreo.
  14. Line a large plate with two paper towels so that the oil can drain off.
  15. Pick up the basket out of the oil and let sit for a minute so the oil can drain and the fryer basket can cool.
  16. Flip over the basket on top of the paper towel lined plate.
  17. Serve with powder sugar on top.
