Easy Beans and Weens Casserole


  • 1 package of hot dogs, chopped
  • 1 large can (28 oz) of BBQ baked beans (or your preferred side dish beans)
  • 1 box of cornbread mix (plus required ingredients according to package directions)

Optional Add-ins:

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup chopped jalapeños for some heat


  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a 9×13 casserole dish, combine the chopped hot dogs and the entire can of BBQ baked beans. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can customize the beans with your own mixture.
  3. If desired, add in any optional ingredients like shredded cheddar cheese, diced onions, bell peppers, or jalapeños. Mix everything well in the casserole dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, prepare the cornbread mix according to the package instructions. Typically, you’ll need to combine the mix with water, milk, or eggs. Adjust the quantities as directed.
  5. Pour the prepared cornbread batter evenly over the hot dog and bean mixture in the casserole dish. Spread it out to cover the surface.
  6. Place the casserole dish in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 25 minutes, or until the cornbread is golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Feel free to add extra toppings like sour cream, green onions, or more cheese based on your preferences.
