My husband and I never got a honeymoon when we got married over 20 years ago. We didn’t have the means to take one of those extravagant tropical trips that so many of our friends took. I had always dreamed of one, but it seemed so far out of reach that I eventually forgot about it. Then, after our kids moved out of the house, it hit me… we could have our honeymoon now!
My husband was all for it so we started planning. Part of my planning included looking and feeling fantastic on this vacation of a lifetime. I had heard of cabbage soup that helped you to lose weight, and so I searched for it.
I found the recipe on All Recipes and made up a nice big batch of it. My husband and I ate only this for two weeks leading up to our departure date. On that day, we both had lost a nice chunk of weight and felt amazing. It was the best trip of my life.
We enjoyed it so much, we promised we would go back again for our 30th anniversary… I can’t wait!
To Make this Recipe You’Il Need the following ingredients:
Carrots, chopped
Onions, chopped
Cans whole peeled tomatoes, with liquid
Head cabbage, chopped
Envelope dry onion soup mix
Can cut green beans, drained
Tomato juice
Green bell peppers, diced
Stalks celery, chopped
Can beef broth
