How To MAke "Croissants"

WHAT YOU NEED :

° White flour: 5 large cups

° Warm water: 2 large cups

° Oil: 1/2 large cup

° Powdered milk: 1/4 large cup

° White sugar: 2 tablespoons

° Yeast: 2 tablespoons

° Salt: a pinch

° Butter per person

° Egg: 1 (large)

° Vanilla: a pinch

METHOD OF WORK :

1. To start with, put 2 large cups of flour in a deep bowl, then add the yeast, sugar, salt and milk powder, mixing everything well.

2. You’ll want to add water (gradually) to the flour mixture. And please mix again until the ingredients are homogeneous.

3. Next, cover the dough and leave until it ferments, it takes around 10 minutes.

4. Once done, you need to put the oil and the rest of the amount of flour. Knead the dough again, until we get a soft and coherent dough.

5. Make sure to divide the 10-minute dough into medium-sized balls, leaving it to rest a little for 5 minutes.

6. Spread each ball of the dough with the rolling pin on a surface sprinkled with a little flour, just until it becomes thin and brushed with butter.

7. Immediately place the dough balls on top of each other. Not to forget, spread butter between each layer.

8. You’ll want to roll out all layers again with the rolling pin until thin. Then cut into equal-sized triangles.

9. At this point, you can apply the preferred filling for the croissant and then roll from the tip of the dough triangle to the base.

10. After that, you may want to grease an oven tray with butter, then place the croissant pieces on the tray.

11. The next step is to beat the egg well with vanilla, then spread the croissant with it. Leave until it ferments, about 30 minutes more.

12. Preheat your oven to 180 ° C for 10 minutes.

13. Put the tray in the preheated oven until the croissants are cooked and brown, it takes around 25 minutes at maximum.
