Not really a meal, but a great snack, or lunch box filler. I have 5 kids, and they are constantly asking for the YoCrunch yogurts from Walmart for their lunches. When you have that many kids it gets pricey so I made them myself. This made 20 cups of “yocrunch”.
Ingredients:
- 2 tubs (32 oz each) Vanilla yogurt
- 1 pack of M&M minis (shareable size)
- 1 pack of Oreo cookies
- Plastic cups (quantity depends on your preference)
- Total= $9.84
Instructions:
- Prepare the Yogurt Base:
- In a large bowl, empty the contents of the two tubs of Vanilla yogurt.
- Stir the yogurt until it’s smooth and well-mixed.
- Assemble the Cups:
- Take your plastic cups and start layering the yogurt into each cup, filling them about halfway. You can use a spoon or a piping bag to make this process easier.
- Add the M&M Minis:
- Sprinkle a generous amount of M&M minis on top of the yogurt in each cup. You can control the sweetness by adjusting the quantity of M&Ms according to your preference.
- Crush and Add Oreo Toppings:
- Crush the Oreo cookies into small pieces. You can do this by placing the cookies in a zip-lock bag and using a rolling pin or the back of a spoon to crush them.
- Sprinkle the crushed Oreos on top of the M&M layer in each cup. The combination of the chocolatey crunch from the cookies and the colorful M&Ms will add texture and flavor.
- Repeat Layers:
- Continue layering the remaining yogurt, M&Ms, and crushed Oreos until you reach the top of each cup. Make sure to finish with a layer of M&Ms and crushed Oreos for a visually appealing presentation.
- Chill and Serve:
- Place the assembled yogurt cups in the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes before serving. This will allow the flavors to meld, and the yogurt to set slightly.
- Enjoy:
- Once chilled, your homemade YoCrunch-inspired yogurt cups are ready to be enjoyed as a delicious snack or lunch box filler. The combination of creamy yogurt, sweet M&Ms, and crunchy Oreos is sure to be a hit with your kids!
