Meat Lovers Spaghetti Bake


  • 1 pound (450g) spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound (450g) ground beef
  • 1/2 pound (225g) Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 1 can (24 ounces) spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)


  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  2. Cook Spaghetti: Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare Meat Mixture: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add the ground beef and Italian sausage to the skillet. Cook, breaking up the meat with a spoon, until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Combine Meat and Sauce: Add the spaghetti sauce to the skillet with the cooked meat mixture. Stir to combine and simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Assemble Bake: In the prepared baking dish, spread a layer of the cooked spaghetti. Top
