Orange Fluff Cake

You’ll Need :
ยฐ3 teaspoons orange peel
ยฐ6 egg whites
ยฐ6 egg yolks
ยฐ2 teaspoons baking powder
ยฐ1 1/2 cup cake flour
ยฐ1 cup desserts “sugar
ยฐ1/2 teaspoon tartare cream
ยฐ1/2 teaspoon salt
ยฐ1 teaspoon vanilla extract
ยฐ1 cup white sugar
ยฐ1/2 cup fresh orange juice
ยฐ5 tbsp soft butter
STEPS :
Preheat the oven to 350 ยฐ F (180 ยฐ C). Fat and flour 9 inches (23cm) round cake frying pan.
In a large bowl, grease the butter and white sugar together until light and fluffy. Whisk the egg yolks, one by one, until fully combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites with the tartar cream until harsh peaks form.
In another bowl, sift the cake flour, baking powder and salt together.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture alternately with fresh orange juice until combined.
Fold the egg white, then fold gently into the orange peel.
Pour the mixture into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spoon.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick is inserted into the center of the cake.
Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Sprinkle confectionery sugar over the cake just before serving.
