I simply cannot be the only mother of boys whose bathroom sometimes smells less like that lemony-fresh zest than what we’d like. That horrible urine smell is a common bathroom complaint most of us have experienced on at least one occasion. And like most of us, you’ve probably wondered how in the world you can get that smell gone forever. Sometimes it plays magic tricks since you think it’s gone only to get another unpleasant whiff a few short hours later. If you’re ready to get remove the urine smell in your bathroom, this natural recipe will work wonders! Here is how to remove that horrible urine smell!
You’ll need:
- Disposable Gloves
- Measuring Cup
- Soft Sponge
- Lemon Juice
- Old Toothbrush
- Baking Soda
- White Vinegar
Now, here’s what you’ll do.
First, add the lemon juice and baking soda together. Mix until a paste forms. It should be a thick consistency. Now put on your gloves if you wish and begin putting the paste on the bottom of the toilet and other areas where you notice the strong odor, such as the bottom of the toilet seat, the tank, etc. The mixture should sit on these areas for a minimum of 15 minutes.Add ½ cup vinegar to the toilet bowl. Let this mixture sit for 15 minutes.
Now you want to use your sponge to clean the toilet and the areas around it. Use some of your lemon paste to clean these areas. Remove the shower curtain and toss it into the washing machine along with a half cup of white vinegar to remove those odors and freshen it up.
Once the 15-minute time mark has elapsed, flush the toilet two times and add a half cup of vinegar. Now use the toothbrush with vinegar to remove the paste that you placed onto the toilet and surrounding areas a while ago. Use the sponge to finish removing the paste. Flush the toilet again to remove smells and odors.
How easy is this? With nothing more than a few supplies you probably already have sitting around the house and about half an hour of time, you can finally get rid of that urine smell in the bathroom once and for all. Put this cleaning solution to work any time that you notice that unpleasant bathroom smell. It works like a charm, every single time.
