3-4 lb beef chuck roast

1 packet ranch seasoning mix

1 packet brown gravy mix

1 packet Italian dressing mix

1 cup beef broth (or water)

4-5 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks (optional)

4-5 carrots, peeled and cut into chunks (optional)

1 tbsp olive oil (optional for searing)

Instructions :

Sear the Roast (Optional)

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

Sear the beef chuck roast for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned (this step adds extra flavor but can be skipped if desired).

Add Ingredients to Slow Cooker

Place the seared roast into the slow cooker.

Add the potatoes and carrots around the roast if you’re using them.

Add Seasonings and Broth

Sprinkle the ranch seasoning, brown gravy mix, and Italian dressing mix over the roast.

Pour in the beef broth around the roast to help create the juices.

Cook

Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or until the roast is tender and easily shreds.

Shred and Serve

Remove the roast from the slow cooker and shred the meat using two forks.

Serve with the vegetables and the savory gravy from the slow cooker.

Tips for a Delicious Pot Roast

✔ Make it extra rich: For a deeper flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce or a little bit of red wine to the broth.

✔ Thicken the gravy: If you want a thicker gravy, mix a bit of cornstarch with water and stir it into the slow cooker juices, then cook for another 10 minutes.
