Whenever we would go to any family functions or sports nights at various family’s houses when I was younger, there was always a dip there that I just couldn’t get enough of.
It was something that my aunt made. As I got older, I asked her a few times about making it, but I never could figure out her recipe quite exact. She wouldn’t write it down, because she was too busy visiting or working on something else at the function. She was quite the busy body. Often she would ask me to call and get it from her that way.
Like with so many other things, out of sight, out of mind. The minute I would leave the party I would forget all about the dip until we would have it again. I was tired of not having the recipe though, and one day when it randomly popped into my mind, I decided to find it.
It was pure perfection. I didn’t even wait for an event to make it, I made it that very weekend. Thankfully some friends stopped over to hang out one day, so we had a reason to pull this out and finish it up… and that we did!
