  • 1 medium head of cabbage, shredded
  • 2 large carrots, grated
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced thinly
  • 3-4 garlic cloves, sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced into rounds
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Vegetables:

โ€ข In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, grated carrots, and sliced red bell pepper. Mix them well.

2. Pack the Jars:

โ€ข Sterilize your mason jars by boiling them in water for 10 minutes or running them through the dishwasher.

โ€ข Pack the vegetable mixture into the sterilized jars tightly.
