Ingredients:
1- large yellow onion or 2 small chopped
1-red bell pepper chopped
1-lb bacon fried chopped
3-cloves garlic chopped
1-lb ground beef
1/2-lb ground pork sausage
1-tlbs Cajun seasoning
1-tsp garlic and onion powder
1-tsp salt and pepper
4 15oz cans of plain pork and beans
1/2-cup dark molasses
1/4- cup light brown sugar
1-tlbs BBQ sauce
2-tsp prepared mustard
Directions
In med skillet on medium heat,
Cook bacon until crispy, set aside to cool, chop. Sauté chopped onions and peppers for 15 mins, add garlic, sauté for another 15 mins, add ground beef and sausage, sauté until slightly browned, add seasonings, continue to sauté until golden brown, strain off excess oil, add back to skillet, add bacon and beans, molasses, brown sugar, BBQ sauce, mustard, blend in all ingredients, cover and simmer for 30 mins, stirring a few times.
Remove lid and bake at 350* for 1 hour, let rest for 5 mins,
