Cheesy Taco Fries

Cheesy Taco Fries

Ingredients:

1 pound hamburger meat
1 package Idaho potato fries (frozen or fresh)
1 package taco seasoning mix
1 cup nacho cheese sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Toppings of your choice (sliced jalapeños, diced tomatoes, chopped green onions, sour cream, guacamole, etc.)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the potato fries package. Bake the fries until they are crispy and golden brown.

2. Cook the Hamburger Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the hamburger meat until it’s fully browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.

3. Season the Meat: Sprinkle the taco seasoning mix over the cooked meat. Add a little water (about 1/4 cup) and stir well. Simmer for a few minutes until the seasoning is well incorporated and the mixture thickens slightly. Remove from heat.

4. Prepare the Cheese Sauce: While the fries and meat are cooking, heat the nacho cheese sauce in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally, until it’s smooth and hot.

5. Assemble the Taco Fries: Arrange the crispy fries on a serving platter. Spoon the seasoned hamburger meat evenly over the fries. Drizzle the warm nacho cheese sauce generously over the top.

6. Add Toppings: Sprinkle your favorite toppings over the cheesy taco fries. You can get creative here – jalapeños for heat, diced tomatoes for freshness, green onions for a zing, or a dollop of sour cream for creaminess.

7. Serve and Enjoy: Serve immediately while the fries are hot and the cheese is gooey. Grab a fork and dig in! These cheesy taco fries are perfect for sharing with family and friends, and they make a deliciously satisfying meal or snack.
