Homemade Pecan Pie Cobbler

Homemade Pecan Pie Cobbler

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar.
  3. Stir in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the brown sugar and hot water, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
  6. Slowly pour the brown sugar mixture over the batter in the baking dish. Do not stir.
  7. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  8. Allow the pecan pie cobbler to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream, if desired.
