The Best Pecan Cream Pie

Pecan Cream Pie

Ingredients:

• 1 prepared graham cracker or pastry pie crust
• 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
• ½ cup powdered sugar
• 1 cup heavy whipping cream (or 1 tub whipped topping)
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 cup chopped pecans (toasted if desired)
• ½ cup light corn syrup or caramel sauce
• Pinch of salt


Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then fold into the cream cheese mixture (or use whipped topping).
  3. Stir in vanilla, pecans, corn syrup or caramel, and salt.
  4. Pour the filling into the prepared crust and smooth the top.
  5. Chill for at least 4 hours (or overnight) until firm.
  6. Garnish with extra pecans or a drizzle of caramel before serving.
