Ingredients:

  • 2 medium potatoes, diced
  • 400 grams ground beef
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 carrots, grated

For the Sauce:

  • 3 whole eggs
  • 150 milliliters whole milk
  • 4 tablespoons table cream
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 generous pinch black pepper
  • 1 generous pinch red chili
  • 4 tablespoons wheat flour
  • Parsley to taste

For the Topping:

  • 200 grams shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Oregano to taste

Cabbage and Ground Beef Casserole Preparation

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Cabbage:

  • Start by making diagonal cuts into the cabbage, then make more diagonal cuts in the opposite direction.

2. Cook the Meat and Vegetables:

  • In a pan over medium-low heat, add a drizzle of olive oil.
  • Add the diced potatoes and cook for a few minutes.
  • Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  • Add the chopped red and green bell peppers, and grated carrots.
  • Add the chopped cabbage and mix everything together.
  • Cover the pan and let it cook for 20 minutes over low heat.

3. Season the Mixture:

  • Add 2 tablespoons of salt, a generous pinch of black pepper, and a generous pinch of red chili.
  • Mix everything together well.

4. Prepare the Sauce:

  • In a large bowl, add 3 whole eggs, 150 milliliters of whole milk, 4 tablespoons of table cream, 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil, and 2 crushed garlic cloves.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of salt, a generous pinch of black pepper, a generous pinch of red chili, and 4 tablespoons of wheat flour.

•Add parsley to taste and mix everything together well.

5. Assemble the Casserole:

  • Add the meat and cabbage mixture to a baking dish.
  • Pour the sauce over the mixture, spreading it evenly.
  • Sprinkle 200 grams of shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Add oregano to taste.

6. Bake:

  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit).
  • Bake the casserole for 35 minutes.

7. Serve:

The casserole is ready when it is golden and bubbly. Slice and enjoy!
