Black Forest Dump Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 (20 oz.) cans cherry pie filling
  • 1 (18.5 oz.) box Devil’s Food cake mix
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
  • Vanilla ice cream (for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Dump the cherry pie filling into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  3. Sprinkle the dry, unprepared Devil’s Food cake mix evenly over the cherry pie filling.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix. If using, sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the top.
  5. Bake for 1 hour or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  7. Spoon the warm cake into serving dishes or bowls.
  8. Top with vanilla ice cream.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
