Ingredients:
- 2 (20 oz.) cans cherry pie filling
- 1 (18.5 oz.) box Devil’s Food cake mix
- 3/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
- Vanilla ice cream (for serving)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Dump the cherry pie filling into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle the dry, unprepared Devil’s Food cake mix evenly over the cherry pie filling.
- Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix. If using, sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the top.
- Bake for 1 hour or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
- Spoon the warm cake into serving dishes or bowls.
- Top with vanilla ice cream.
- Serve and enjoy!
